Andy Canion, Ph.D., is an experienced environmental scientist currently serving as the Supervising Environmental Scientist and Technical Program Manager for Watershed Management at the St. Johns River Water Management District since July 2013. Prior roles include Adjunct Instructor for Oceanography at Tallahassee Community College and various positions at Florida State University and Dauphin Island Sea Lab, focusing on marine biogeochemistry, microbial ecology, and phytoplankton research. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Biogeochemical Oceanography and a Master's in Marine Science from Florida State University and the Dauphin Island Sea Lab, respectively, along with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Mississippi.
