Patricia Medved

Patricia Medved is a Doctoral Fellow at St. John’s University where, in addition to teaching First Year Writing, she takes courses in composition theory, issues in writing studies, and literature. Patricia has also taught at Suffolk Community College and Nassau Community College. Before working as a college instructor, Patricia was a book editor at HarperCollins, Simon and Schuster and Random House. She published practical non-fiction books in areas such as reference, personal fitness, parenting, and dog training. She has an MA in Professional Writing and Rhetoric from the University of Texas, El Paso. A native of Long Island, she earned her BA at Hofstra and loves to spend time on the water or at least, looking at the water.
