Dennis Vega

Dennis Vega, MD, FACS is a highly experienced thoracic surgeon currently serving as Chief of the Division of Thoracic Surgery at St. Joseph's Health since May 2025. Previous roles include thoracic surgeon at Atlantic Health System and Hackensack Meridian Health, where Dennis specialized in the comprehensive care of thoracic surgical patients. Dennis Vega has a strong focus on video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery, minimally invasive techniques, robotic thoracic surgery, and the management of lung and esophageal cancers. Education includes an MD with Distinction in Research from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and a BA in Chemistry from New York University.
