David Cazares is an experienced journalist and editor currently serving as the Editor for health, arts and culture at St. Louis Public Radio since May 2016. Previously, Cazares held various roles at Minnesota Public Radio from November 2009 to July 2015, including web and distribution editor, arts reporter, and podcast host. Prior to that, Cazares worked at the South Florida Sun-Sentinel from September 1993 to March 2009, where responsibilities included being a Latin/World Beat columnist and serving as assistant city editor and bureau chief. Cazares began a career in journalism as a reporter at The Courier-Journal from 1987 to 1993, covering government, police, and courts. Cazares holds a B.A. in Spanish and Journalism from the University of Evansville and an A.A. in Printing Technology from Vincennes University.
