Heather Rizzo Dnp

Heather Rizzo DNP, RN-BC, CENP has a diverse work experience in nursing leadership roles. Heather is currently serving as the Vice President of Patient Care Services at St. Luke's University Health Network. Before that, they were the Director of Patient Care Services at the same organization. Prior to their current role, they worked at Tower Health as the System Director of Education and Professional Development, where they played a crucial role in supporting the Nursing Professional Development team during the COVID-19 pandemic. Heather also has experience at Geisinger Health System as the Associate Vice President of Nursing Services, where they implemented effective labor benchmarking strategies and cost-saving initiatives. Heather worked as the Manager of the Division of Education at Lehigh Valley Health Network, where they accomplished a complete revision of the orientation program for staff working with patients. Heather's earlier experience includes working at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System and HCA, where they held the position of Director of the Neuroscience unit.

Heather Rizzo DNP, RN-BC, CENP completed their Doctor of Nursing (DNP) degree from Carlow University between 2017 and 2019. Prior to that, they earned their Master of Science (MS) in Nursing Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University from 2000 to 2003. Heather'seducational journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from DeSales University, which they completed between 1993 and 1997.
