Todd Bowman

Todd Bowman, BA, NRP, FP-C, currently serves as the EMS Division Assistant Chief for St. Mary's County Government since August 2023. With a multifaceted career in emergency medical services, Todd has also held the position of Operations Unit Leader for the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems since February 2021, where expertise in high call volume settings is demonstrated. As a journalist for EMS1.com since October 2021, Todd provides insights into EMS topics, including the history of major trauma centers and mental health awareness. Prior experience includes serving as a Board Certified Flight Paramedic and Base Manager at Guardian Flight, LLC, and various roles in Allegany County and Washington County, Maryland, focusing on high acuity responses and clinician training. Todd holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Shepherd University and an Associate of Science in Paramedicine from Hagerstown Community College.
