David Dickson

Trustee at St Mary's University

David Dickson is the current Trustee at St Mary's University. David has also worked as the Director of Process Development at Abzena from July 2018 to March 2021. There, they were in charge of directing the process development and cGMP manufacture of small molecule, peptide, oligonucleotide, nanoparticle and highly potent cytotoxic payloads (HPAPIs). David was also responsible for the production of material for use in anti-body drug conjugates (ADC), pre-clinical and clinical phase studies. Prior to that, from July 2015 to July 2018, David worked as a Scientist at Teva Specialty Pharmaceuticals where they developed processes to manufacture Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) in early development through Phase III clinical studies. Before that, they were a Process Development Chemist at INVISTA from February 2015 to July 2015 and a Research Investigator at DuPont from October 2010 to October 2014. David's career started as a Postdoctoral Scholar at The University of Chicago from March 2009 to March 2010.

David Dickson has a Ph.D. in Organic Synthesis from the University of Illinois Chicago, an MS in Organic and Organometallic Chemistry from UC Santa Barbara, and a BS in Chemistry from California State University, Chico.
