Sven Holch is an experienced educator currently serving as a History Teacher and Coordinator of the Center for Teaching and Learning at Derby Academy since July 2024. Prior to this role, Sven held the position of Academic Dean at St. Michael's Country Day School from July 2023 to July 2024 and was the Head of the History Department and a teacher at Derby Academy from August 2020 to July 2023. Additional teaching experience includes serving as an instructor and adjunct professor at Lesley University from October 2006 to January 2021, where graduate-level courses in Middle School and Elementary Education were taught, and as a Social Studies Department Coordinator and 7th grade history teacher at Brookwood School from July 2001 to August 2020. Sven began their educational career as a 3rd Grade Teacher at Bertschi School from July 1998 to June 2001. Sven holds a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Lesley University and a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development from Connecticut College, along with additional credentials in Curriculum and Instruction and Environmental Education from the Expedition Education Institute and a minor in Maritime Studies from Williams College.
