Elizabeth Finnegan

Elizabeth Finnegan is an experienced educational professional currently serving as a Professor of Education and Director of Graduate Education Programs at St. Thomas Aquinas College since July 2009. With a strong background in special education, Elizabeth has taught undergraduate and graduate courses while overseeing graduate programs in Special Education and Literacy. Notably, Elizabeth successfully increased enrollment in graduate programs during the 2020-2021 academic year and contributed to accreditation reports. Prior to this, Elizabeth held positions as a Special Education Teacher with the Bergenfield Board of Education and as an Early Intervention Specialist with Innovative Interventions, among other roles. Elizabeth holds a Doctorate in Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, a Master of Education in Special Education from William Paterson University, and a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Sheffield.
