Amy Mortensen

Amy Mortensen is a seasoned freelance photographer and photojournalist with extensive experience since 2004. Operating Amy Mortensen Photography since August 2009, Amy has contributed as a contract photographer for St. Vincent's College and St. Vincent's Health Services since May 2010, and for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bridgeport, specializing in event photography. Previous roles include a staff photographer at Hearst Connecticut Media Group from 2006 to 2017, covering various community newspapers, and a staff photographer for Darien News Review during the same period. Additionally, Amy gained early experience as a portrait and action photographer at TSS Photography from 2004 to 2006. A graduate of the University of Connecticut with a B.F.A. in Photography and Illustration, along with a minor in Art History, Amy Mortensen combines artistic vision with a strong journalistic background in photography.
