Kerri McDermid has over fifteen years of experience in communications and marketing. Kerri is currently the Chief Communications & Global Impact Officer at St. Vrain Valley Schools. Prior to their current role, they were the Communications Coordinator for the Department of Biomedical Sciences at Colorado State University and the School of Global Environmental Sustainability. Kerri has also worked as a marketing analyst for Beet Street and as a marketing and special programs coordinator for Boyd Lake State Park. Her first job out of college was as an office automation assistant for the Centers for Disease Control. Kerri McDermid is a highly skilled communicator with a passion for education and making a positive impact in their community.

Dr. Kerri McDermid is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Leadership for Educational Equity - Executive Leadership at the University of Colorado Denver, with an expected completion date in December 2022. Kerri also holds an Administrator License from the University of Colorado Denver's Executive Leadership Program and a Women in Leadership Certificate from Cornell University. Dr. McDermid earned their Masters of Science (M.S.) in Environmental Studies with a dual emphasis in conservation biology and writing/communication from Green Mountain College and their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing from Colorado State University. Kerri also has various internships under their belt and is certified by the Colorado Department of Education in Administrator (K-12) Licensure.

They work with Jackie Kapushion - Deputy Superintendent, Michelle Bourgeois - CTO, and Greg Fieth - CFO. Their manager is Don Haddad, Superintendent.
