Joel Suoraniemi

Joel Suoraniemi has extensive work experience in finance and business control. Joel started their career at H&M as an Accountant, where they handled accounts payable, accounts receivable, and monthly closing activities. Joel also had responsibilities as a SAP specialist, analyzing cash handling and money transport expenses for H&M Group Swedish stores.

After H&M, Suoraniemi joined Ticket Privatresor as a Business Controller. In this role, they were involved in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and developing business models and reports for the sales organization.

Joel then moved on to Electrolux, where they worked as a Business Analyst MA EMEA. Their main responsibilities included building the reporting structure for all EMEA markets, leading the budget process and forecasting, and preparing financial reporting and KPIs. Joel also conducted regular business calls with market leaders and senior executives.

Currently, Suoraniemi is employed at St1 Sverige AB, where they have held various roles. Initially, they were a Business Controller for the Convenience Retail branch, responsible for building the financial management structure, leading the accounting team, and providing financial leadership to the Convenience Retail leadership team. Joel was also a Nordic Business Unit Controller for St1's sales and marketing organizations in Sweden, Finland, and Norway. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Business Control for St1's sales and marketing organization in Sweden, which includes brands St1 and Shell.

Throughout their career, Suoraniemi has demonstrated expertise in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and business analysis.

Joel Suoraniemi completed their high school education at Ängelholms Gymnasieskola from 2003 to 2006. Joel then pursued a Degree of Master of Science in Business and Economics, specializing in Corporate Finance and Management Accounting, at Örebro University from 2008 to 2012.
