Michael Post

Senior Scientist at Stablix

Michael Post has been working in the scientific field since 2011. Michael began their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at the California Institute of Technology, where they developed an expression system in Xenopus oocytes for the a6B2 subtype of the nicotine receptor, which they then used to map the binding of nicotine, acetylcholine, and other agonists. Michael also explored more nuanced factors affecting the binding of agonists at the a4B2 subtype. Additionally, they served as a Teaching Assistant, leading a three hour lab section and designing and leading a 1 hour seminar each week. In 2016, Post moved to Columbia University Medical Center, where they served as a Postdoctoral Scientist. Most recently, they joined Stablix, Inc. in 2021, where they currently serve as a Senior Scientist and Scientist.

Michael Post earned a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Washington University in St. Louis in 2011, and a PhD in Chemistry from Caltech in 2016.
