Wendy Lee has extensive experience in scientific research and academia. Wendy is currently working as a Principal Scientist at Stablix, Inc. since May 2023. Prior to that, they held the role of Senior Scientist I at Relay Therapeutics from February 2022 to May 2023. Before joining Relay Therapeutics, Wendy worked at Carmot Therapeutics, Inc. as a Senior Scientist from November 2020 to February 2022. Wendy also had a significant tenure at Gilead Sciences, where they served as a Research Scientist from November 2016 to November 2020.
Wendy's earlier experience includes working as a Postdoctoral Fellow at New York University, where they investigated the regulation of stem cells in cancer and organ regeneration. Wendy'sresearch involved implementing and developing cancer mouse models, identifying melanocyte stem cells as the cell of origin for melanoma, and conducting transplantation assays to test oncogenic potential. Wendy also worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard Medical School from August 2009 to December 2011.
Wendy began their academic journey as a Graduate Student at Simon Fraser University, where they pursued their studies from 2002 to 2009.
Wendy Lee completed their Honours Bachelor of Science in Developmental Biology from the University of Toronto from 1995 to 2000. Subsequently, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at Simon Fraser University from 2002 to 2009.
