Lanny Barnes

Lanny Barnes is an accomplished professional shooter and a three-time Olympic biathlete, currently serving as the Chief Experience Officer at PrairieFire since May 2022, where the focus is on providing a premier shooting community in Nye County. Lanny Barnes also operates as a professional shooter under the alias Lanny Oakley, pushing the boundaries of shooting and physical training. With extensive experience as a part of various shooting teams, including the Trijicon Pro Staff, Staccato Shooting Team, and JP Shooting Team, Lanny Barnes demonstrates a commitment to excellence in competitive shooting. Additionally, Lanny Barnes co-founded the Twin Biathletes alongside sister Tracy Barnes, aiming for Olympic gold, and has built a notable reputation through teaching military and law enforcement as a certified Patrol Rifle Instructor. Involved in the arts as a commissioned artist, Lanny Barnes holds educational credentials from the University of Minnesota Duluth and Colorado Mesa University.
