Jef Plompen

Jef Plompen serves as an Adjunct Omgevingsmanager at STADSBADER NV since November 2023, overseeing the monitoring system for the R4WO project. Previous roles include Werkvoorbereider infrastructuurwerken and Werfleider grondverzet, managing the removal of PFAS-contaminated soils. Jef's experience also encompasses an internship in planning and urban renewal at Stad Aalst, focused on creating a connected play and green network between playgrounds and schools. An internship at DEME Group involved executing the environmental coordinator's regulatory tasks and researching PFAS standards' effects on operations. Additionally, Jef co-owned Busmanparts while completing an internship as a level 2 prevention advisor with the Agentschap voor Natuur en Bos, conducting risk analyses for chainsaw and brushcutter operations. Jef holds bachelor's degrees in Landscape Development and Environment and Sustainability Management, along with an attestation as a Level II Prevention Advisor. Education background includes studies at KASK en Conservatorium, HOGENT, and Tuinbouwschool Melle.
