Armin von Wehrden

Armin von Wehrden is a finance professional with extensive experience in leading financial operations across various sectors. Currently serving as Leiter Finanzen at Stadt St.Gallen since March 2022, Armin previously held the position of VP Finance & Administration at Optotune from February 2020 to February 2022, where significant achievements included implementing management structures and leading a successful SAP ERP implementation. As Group CFO at ESCATEC from April 2005 to April 2019, Armin drove profitability for 14 consecutive years and enhanced business processes through a comprehensive information systems strategy. Earlier roles include CFO and Head of Shared Services Center at STEINEMANN TECHNOLOGY AG and Company Controller at ABB, where Armin developed a shared services center and improved operational efficiencies. Armin holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of St.Gallen and completed an executive management program in 2003.
