Matt Harrison

Matt Harrison is an accomplished IT professional with extensive experience in information technology management and software engineering. Currently serving as the Director of Information Technology at Stafford County Government since October 2022, Matt previously held various leadership roles at GEICO from March 2004 to October 2022, including Director of Software Engineering and Information Technology Manager. Prior to GEICO, Matt worked as a Senior Manager at MTS Technology and held the position of Senior Director/Principal at Doghouse Consulting. Matt began a professional career at Andersen Consulting as a Senior Consultant from 1996 to 1999. Matt holds a Master of Public Administration from the School of Public Affairs at American University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from St. Bonaventure University. Education was completed at Bishop Ireton High School.
