E. Carter Fitch

E. Carter Fitch currently serves as the Director of Budgets for Stafford County Public Schools since November 2022, managing the formulation, monitoring, and presentation of budgets to support program objectives. Prior to this role, E. Carter Fitch was the Vice President of Operations at The George Washington Foundation from April 2014 to November 2022, overseeing administrative support services and serving as the chief financial and human resource officer. Additionally, E. Carter Fitch held the position of Director of Finance and Human Resources at the same foundation, responsible for budget preparation, fund management, HR functions, and audit coordination. Earlier experience includes a supervisory role at PBMares, LLP, and a graduate research assistant position at Virginia Tech, where E. Carter Fitch earned a Master of Science in Accounting and Information Systems. E. Carter Fitch also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business, Accounting and Information Systems from Virginia Tech - Pamplin College of Business.
