Ismael Chavarín has over 30 years of work experience in the chemical industry. Ismael started their career at Akzo Nobel in 1989 as an R&D Assistant and Production Supervisor. Ismael then joined BASF in 1992, where they held various roles, including Production Leader, Quality Management Leader, and Process Engineer. At Clariant, starting in 2011, Ismael served as a Site Manager, overseeing multiple business units and leading projects in capital investment and Lean Sigma implementation. Ismael later joined Grupo IDESA in 2015 as Director of Operations, responsible for managing operations until 2019. Ismael currently holds the position of Head of Operations at Stahl, where they started in 2023.
Ismael Chavarín's education history begins in 1984 when they attended the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, where they pursued and completed a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, with a focus on processes, quality, and continuous improvement. This degree lasted from 1984 to 1988.
Several years later, in 2002 and 2003, Ismael attended the Universidad Anáhuac to obtain a diploma in Quality Management, specifically focusing on continuous improvement.
In 2005 and 2006, Ismael pursued a Diploma in Managerial Skill Development at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, further enhancing their skills in management.
In 2009, Ismael attended the Universidad de las Américas Puebla to earn a diploma in Lean Manufacturing, concentrating on best practices in manufacturing processes.
Lastly, in 2016, Ismael participated in a Strategic Operations Management Diploma program at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, where they specialized in strategy.
