Andrew Liu has a diverse work experience starting with Stairwell Inc as a Software Engineer since 2020. Before that, they worked at Scale AI from 2019 to 2020, where they were a founding engineer of the machine learning infrastructure team and played a crucial role in building Scale Nucleus. Prior to that, they worked at Google from 2017 to 2019 as a Software Engineer, where they served as the tech lead for re-authentication and was responsible for adding re-authentication mechanisms to Google's Account Security Center and OAuth grant flow. In 2016, Andrew worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Dropbox and made significant contributions by profiling the main Dropbox webserver and implementing performance improvements. Additionally, they worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Google in 2015, where they developed an exploitability analyzer in Breakpad and deployed it into Google's crash triage pipeline. Andrew's career started in 2011 as a Security Researcher in the US Army, where they coauthored a research paper on authorship de-anonymization for source code, published and presented at the USENIX security conference.

Andrew Liu obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, where they studied from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, they attended Richard Montgomery High School from 2009 to 2013. Additionally, Andrew has earned certifications in Machine Learning from Coursera in August 2022, and as a Triplebyte certified Generalist Software Engineer from Triplebyte in April 2019.
