Amit Kulkarni

Amit Kulkarni has extensive work experience in the engineering field. Amit currently holds the position of Staff Engineer - Advanced Engineering at Stanadyne LLC since August 2020. In this role, Amit is responsible for leading the design and development of advanced engineering projects in diesel, gasoline, and alternate fuel technologies, as well as creating detailed plans for engineering activities and conducting design and phase gate reviews.

Prior to their current position, Amit worked at Cummins Inc. for a significant period. From 2005 to 2020, they held various roles within the company. As the Platform Engineering Leader - Engine and Genset Design from 2018 to 2020, Amit was accountable for managing the design readiness and production release of the Hedgehog platform engines and gensets. Amit also ensured successful product launches, reviewed and approved design reviews and engineering releases, and managed readiness for multiple programs simultaneously.

From 2013 to 2017, Amit served as the Design Group Leader at Cummins Inc. In this role, they led a team of global designers, set direction, promoted functional excellence, and facilitated the hiring and coaching of new talent. Amit also served as the High Horsepower Natural Gas and Dual Fuel design team leader during this time, launching the QSK50DF Kit to production and progressing three other engine programs to stable design.
