John A. Pinson

Dr. Pinson is responsible for PurePower Technologies operations and oversees the development of growth strategies aimed at expanding Stanadyne’s remanufacturing product footprint, as well as the introduction of new diesel original equipment product lines for the Americas market.

Dr. Pinson joined Stanadyne in 2009 as Chief Technology Officer after serving as Vice President, Diesel and Large Engines at Ricardo Inc., a powertrain consulting company. Previously, he worked at General Motors for 14 years in various positions within GM Powertrain. He has more than 25 years of experience in global emission compliance strategy, combustion development for high efficiency, and fuel injection system design.

Dr. Pinson holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State, a master’s degree from Clemson University, and an MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.
