Luis Lauro Garza

Luis Lauro Garza is a seasoned operations leader with extensive experience in the automotive industry, currently serving as the Director of Mexican Operations and General Manager Operations at Standard Motor Products since January 2009. Garza oversees multiple facilities, including three Temperature Control plants and a Wire & Cable division in Reynosa, Mexico, as well as distribution and warehouse operations in Mexico and McAllen, Texas. Responsibilities include managing plant activities, spearheading new projects, supporting budget preparations, conducting monthly operational reviews, and enhancing lean manufacturing practices. Previously held roles include Plant Quality Manager at TI Automotive and Senior Quality Engineer at LDM Technologies, along with various engineering positions. Garza holds a Master of Business Administration from Universidad del Valle de México and a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Universidad Autonoma de Tamaulipas.
