Padmakumar Puthillath

Padmakumar Puthillath, PhD, currently serves as the Director of New Business Development at Standard Textile, focusing on leveraging market insights to drive product and technology development and revenue growth. Prior to this role, Padmakumar worked at Milliken & Company for over a decade in various positions including R&D Project Manager and Technology Lead, where contributions included leading flooring product development and conducting research on tire reinforcements. Earlier experience includes a research assistant position at Penn State University, where innovative methodologies for inspecting aircraft repairs were developed, and a role at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, focusing on nondestructive evaluation in aerospace structures. Padmakumar holds a PhD in Engineering Science and Mechanics from Penn State University and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
