Mirek Pijanowski

Co-founder and CEO at StandardFusion

Mirek Pijanowski has had a diverse range of work experience in various roles and companies. Mirek is the Co-founder and CEO of StandardFusion, a web-based GRC application that helps organizations manage their GRC programs. Mirek has been with StandardFusion since September 2015. Prior to that, they worked at BELLIN from November 2010 to September 2015, where they held the positions of Technology Manager and Information Security Manager. As the Information Security Manager, they led the design, implementation, and maintenance of an Information Security Management System certified to the ISO 27001:2005 standard. Mirek was responsible for continuous risk management using the ISO 27005:2008 framework, conducting thorough risk assessments and implementing information security controls. Before joining BELLIN, Mirek worked at StraightThrough as a Network Systems Manager from April 2006 to October 2010, and at Span International as a Systems Analyst from September 2003 to February 2006.

Mirek Pijanowski attended The University of British Columbia from 2009 to 2011, where they studied Project Management but did not obtain a degree. In addition, they obtained several certifications including Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) from ISACA in March 2016, Tenable Certified Nessus Auditor (TCNA) from Tenable Network Security in November 2015, Tenable Certified Nessus User (TCNU) from Tenable Network Security in November 2015, and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in March 2014.
