Ruth McPhail

Ruth McPhail is an accomplished academic and leader with extensive experience in higher education and human resources management. Currently serving as Dean Engagement and Director of Undergraduate Studies at Griffith University, Ruth also holds the position of Professor, focusing on teaching, research, and engagement. As Acting Dean Engagement and Head of the Department of Human Resources and Employment Relations, Ruth leads a dedicated team. Additionally, Ruth is actively involved with the Australian & New Zealand Academy of Management as President Elect and Director, and chairs the Board of the PA Research Foundation, which supports medical research and patient care. Ruth has contributed to the standardization of Human Resources practices through a role with Standards Australia and is recognized as a Global Education Influencer for Education Influence. Following a successful tenure as Director of Human Resources at Marriott International, Ruth's academic qualifications include a PhD in International Human Resources and various degrees from Griffith University and the University of South Australia.
