Dr Melissa Wiemers

Dr. Melissa Wiemers serves as the Wellbeing & Experience Lead at Nova Systems Australia and New Zealand since June 2023, overseeing the company's Wellbeing and Experience Strategy. Concurrently, Dr. Wiemers is a Crisis Support Worker at StandBy Support After Suicide, providing critical postvention support services. Previous roles include Manager Wellbeing Program at Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service, where Dr. Wiemers designed and implemented support programs for occupational violence, and Project Lead at Metro North Hospital and Health Service, focusing on statewide initiatives for staff support services. Dr. Wiemers has extensive experience in organisational psychology, having worked as a Senior Project Officer at Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service, and in various consulting roles across several organizations. Academically, Dr. Wiemers holds a PhD in Organisational Psychology from Griffith University and is currently pursuing a Masters of Counselling in Narrative Therapy at QUT.
