Roberto Torres

Roberto Torres has extensive experience in operations management and engineering. Roberto started their career as an Operations Consultant at Ballard Medical Products, where they led and managed the relocation of production facilities to Mexico, resulting in over $13MM in savings.

Roberto then joined Kimberly-Clark as a Product Supply Team Leader before being promoted to the role of Medical Devices Category Leader. In this position, they oversaw and managed the Digestive Health category, leading cross-functional teams and owning the global supply chain for the product category across multiple plants.

After their tenure at Kimberly-Clark, Roberto worked at Avanos Medical, initially as the Capital and Strategic Engineering Manager. Roberto integrated processes across facilities and led capital engineering projects. Later, they took on the role of Plant Manager, where they provided leadership to two manufacturing facilities, achieving metrics in various areas such as EHS, Quality, Service, and Costs.

Most recently, Roberto is serving as the Vice President of Operations at Standex International, starting in 2023.

Roberto Torres has a diverse education history. Roberto pursued their Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Universidad Nacional Automona de Mexico from 1993 to 1998. After completing their undergraduate studies, they furthered their education and obtained a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, attending from 1998 to 2000. Prior to entering university, Roberto completed their high school education at Centro Universitario Mexico from 1989 to 1992. Additionally, they earned a certification in Certified Quality Audit from the American Society of Quality; however, the specific dates for this certification are not provided.
