Amy Young is the founder of GiveSorrowWords, established in June 2024, which focuses on facilitating courses that promote self-expression and articulation through literature for men in prison. Additionally, Amy serves as the Lead Coach at HMP Pentonville and a coach at HMP Wandsworth since November 2022, alongside previous experience as a Shakespeare workshop facilitator at HMP Brixton from August 2021 to January 2023, where literature workshops were designed to provide educational and therapeutic benefits through the analysis of diverse texts. Amy holds a degree in English Literature from King's College London, completed in 2022.

StandOut's mission is that more people leaving prison are empowered to transform their own lives, realise their potential, and escape the justice system for good. We do that through intensive programmes for people inside prison, followed by 1:1 coaching and holistic support after release for as long as required. Proud winner of the Robin Corbett Award 2021.
