Joe Tarbert is an accomplished legal and programme management professional with a diverse background spanning multiple roles. Currently serving as the Head of Programmes at StandOut since July 2023, Joe oversees community and in-custody programmes while contributing to organisational strategy discussions. Prior experience includes impactful positions at Redemption Roasters as Impact and Partnerships Manager and Interim Head of Impact, as well as legal roles as a Regulatory Associate at Kingsley Napley and Barrister at Mountford Chambers. Joe's early career involved various mini-pupillages and internships, enriching expertise in legal research and courtroom proceedings. Educational credentials include a Bar Professional Training Course from City, University of London and a Law BA from the University of Cambridge.

StandOut's mission is that more people leaving prison are empowered to transform their own lives, realise their potential, and escape the justice system for good. We do that through intensive programmes for people inside prison, followed by 1:1 coaching and holistic support after release for as long as required. Proud winner of the Robin Corbett Award 2021.
