Clair Kuriakose

Clair Kuriakose is the current Executive Director of Advanced Practice Center at Stanford Health Care. Clair has also worked as a Performance Improvement Advisor at Central California Alliance for Health and as a Physician Assistant at Texas Children's Hospital / Baylor College of Medicine.

Kuriakose's experience with leading and facilitating multidisciplinary teams has helped their in their current position. Clair has utilized lean six sigma principles to increase patient discharge goals, saving the company an annual projected amount of $1.6 MM. Additionally, they have increased the percent of discharges before 2 pm by 15%, increased input discharge orders before 10 AM by 31%, and increased the percent of discharges with cycle time less than 90 minutes by 22%.

In their previous positions, Kuriakose also led the PA Impact Project and the Care Progression Rounds Implementation Team. The PA Impact Project aimed to identify opportunities for the Pediatric Surgery Surigical Service including building PA RVU's. The Care Progression Rounds Implementation Team saved 2,719 patient days in a short span of 6 months.

Clair Kuriakose has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Houston's C.T. Bauer College of Business, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) from St. John's University. Clair is also a certified Physician Assistant (PA) from St. John's University. In addition, they have received certifications from the Management & Strategy Institute in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and from Texas Children's Hospital in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Finally, they are a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) from the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Their manager is David Entwistle, President & CEO. They work with Vicki Tippett - Director, Advanced Practice Patient Care Services, Patrice Duhon - Director, EPIC Optimization & Reporting, and Richard Shumway - President & CEO of Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley & Stanford Medicine Partners.
