Sam Wald

SVP & Chief Perioperative, Pharmacy & Imaging Officer at Stanford Health Care

Dr. Sam Wald is the Vice President of Surgical Services at Stanford Health Care. Sam was previously a professor of clinical anesthesiology at UCLA Health System from September 1999 to March 2014. Prior to that, they were a fellow in pediatric anesthesiology at Boston Children's Hospital from August 1998 to August 1999. Dr. Wald completed their residency in anesthesiology at Massachusetts General Hospital from August 1995 to August 1998.

Sam Wald completed their undergraduate degree at Vassar College, where they studied psychology. Sam then went on to earn their MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. Finally, they obtained their MD from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Sam also holds a certification in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from Stanford Health Care.

Their manager is Niraj Sehgal, Chief Medical Officer.
