Lorene Nelson is an accomplished academic and researcher in the field of epidemiology, currently serving as an Associate Professor and Faculty Director of Research at the Stanford Center for Population Health Sciences, as well as Chief of the Division of Epidemiology at Stanford University School of Medicine. Prior to this role, Lorene held positions as an Epidemiologist at the University of Washington, an Adjunct Investigator at the Division of Research, and worked as a Biostatistician at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Lorene earned a Ph.D. in Epidemiology from the University of Washington from 1987 to 1991 and a Master's degree in Biostatistics from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 1981-1982.
