Uma Valeti, MD is the CEO and Founder of UPSIDE Foods since June 2016. In addition to leadership at UPSIDE Foods, Valeti serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine. Previous positions include President and President-Elect of the Twin Cities Board of Directors for the American Heart Association, Associate Professor of Medicine and Radiology at the University of Minnesota, and Interventional Cardiologist at St. Paul Heart Clinic. Valeti has also contributed to various boards and committees, such as New Harvest and the American College of Cardiology. Valeti's medical education was undertaken at JIPMER (MBBS), followed by further studies at Wayne State University School of Medicine and the University at Buffalo. Cardiology fellowship training was completed at Mayo Clinic.
