Bob Truel is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in web technologies and software development. Currently serving as Principal Engineer at Stanford Research Systems Inc. since August 2020, Bob has previously held pivotal roles at organizations such as Topix, IBM Watson, and Blekko.com. At Topix, Bob designed a predictive system for revenue management of campaigns, while at IBM Watson, Bob managed engineers involved in various projects, including machine learning and natural language processing. As a co-founder of Blekko.com, Bob contributed to building a web-scale search engine, and earlier as VP of Engineering at Topix LLC, Bob played a key role in creating a local news aggregator. Bob's career also includes positions at Netscape/AOL, NewHoo, Sun Microsystems, and Data Parallel Systems. Bob holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Indiana University Bloomington and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
