Clayborne Carson

Director

Clayborne Carson serves as the Director of The World House Project at Stanford University, a position held since June 1974, focusing on realizing Martin Luther King Jr.'s vision for global coexistence. Additionally, Carson holds the titles of Martin Luther King Jr. Centennial Professor and Ronnie Lott Founding Director of the King Institute. Carson also contributed to Morehouse College as the Martin Luther King Jr. Distinguished Professor from January 2008 to December 2009. Carson earned a Ph.D. in American History from UCLA, completing the degree between 1965 and 1975.
