Joshua Lazaro

Joshua Lazaro is currently a Biomedical Data Science PhD student at Stanford University, having commenced studies in September 2023. Previously, Joshua served as a Data Science Fellow at Coding it Forward, where key projects included modeling market and beneficiary characteristics to influence healthcare policy using programming languages like SAS, Python, and SQL. Joshua has extensive experience in research, holding positions as an Undergraduate Researcher at HAVEN Free Clinic, a Bioinformatician at Yale University School of Medicine, and an Undergraduate Bioinformatics Researcher at UT Health San Antonio. Joshua's academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Data Science with a concentration in Biology from The University of Texas at San Antonio, complemented by leadership roles such as ACM-WM Director, along with community engagement through the United Nations Millennium Fellowship.
