Marianne Liang

Product Manager at Stanford University

Marianne supports the Graduate Financial Planning System (GFPS), which manages graduate aid for H&S doctoral students and will soon be expanded to include other Stanford schools. Marianne identifies business needs, collects user requirements, facilitates design, coordinates testing, leads training, and serves as a liaison to developers and stakeholders.

Prior to joining the H&S IT team, Marianne worked in the H&S Office of Graduate and Undergraduate Studies (GUS), specializing in graduate aid systems and policy. She was previously the finance manager for the John Gardner Center at Stanford.

Before coming to Stanford, Marianne earned a BA in percussion performance and an MBA from UC Davis, worked in fields ranging from agriculture to arts to real estate, and won a national championship with the Sacramento Mandarins Drum & Bugle Corps. In her free time, she enjoys chasing her young daughter around and snuggling with her cat Milo.
