Marissa Berrong

Marissa Berrong is an experienced accounting professional currently serving as a Research Accountant at Stanford University since December 2022, where responsibilities include reviewing legal documents, monitoring project financial health, and ensuring compliance with university and sponsor policies. Previously, Marissa held the position of Accountant in the School of Engineering since December 2021, focusing on transaction approvals and financial report analysis. Prior experience includes roles in the School of Medicine, where Marissa was involved in invoice reconciliation and vendor relationship management, as well as contributions as a Workflow Consultant. Marissa started a career in finance and accounting after a background in technical recruiting and teaching English.
