Nishal Shah is a highly skilled researcher with extensive experience in neural engineering and brain-computer interfaces. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Stanford University since August 2020, Nishal is focused on facilitating intricate finger movements through intracortical Brain Computer Interfaces. Prior to this role, Nishal completed a PhD at Stanford University, investigating the neural code in the retina to develop algorithms aimed at restoring vision through artificial stimulation. Nishal's previous positions include work as a Student Researcher at Google, where machine learning algorithms for retinal prosthesis were created, and internships at Qualcomm and the Computational Cognitive Neuroscience Lab, contributing to advancements in neural network models and MEMS display technologies.
