Oliver Waterhouse

Oliver Waterhouse is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship. Currently serving as a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University since January 2023, Waterhouse previously held notable positions including Head of Exact Sciences Innovation at Exact Sciences, where leadership contributed to advances in early cancer detection. As Co-founder and CEO of Base Genomics, Waterhouse was pivotal in transforming epigenetics understanding and developing blood tests for early-stage cancer detection, leading to the company's acquisition by Exact Sciences. Waterhouse also served as Entrepreneur In Residence at Oxford Science Enterprises, Head of Partnerships at Zinc VC, and worked as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company. Educationally, Waterhouse is an alumnus of the University of California, Berkeley, and The University of Edinburgh, and was recognized as Head Boy and Academic Scholar at Bedales School.
