Torin Jones

Torin Jones, PhD, serves as a UX Researcher at Adobe since August 2021 and has been an Anthropologist and Qualitative Researcher at Stanford University since September 2014. Jones employs a variety of qualitative methods to investigate the experiences of West African youth seeking asylum in Italy, focusing on the effects of xenophobia and racism on mental well-being. Previous roles include an Analyst at Dovetail Labs, where research centered on the ethical implications of AI in African contexts, and work as an Anthropologist at the University of Cambridge, analyzing the impact of migration on Jamaican migrant-artists in London. Academic credentials include a PhD in Cultural Anthropology from Stanford University, an MPhil in Anthropology from the University of Cambridge, and a BA in Development Economics and International Development from the University of California, Berkeley.
