Paul Chinowsky has a diverse work experience that spans several roles and industries. Paul is currently the Director of Resilience and Analytics at Stanley Consultants since 2022. Prior to that, they were the Co-Founder of Resilient Analytics starting from 2014. From 2018 to 2022, they served as the Director at the Program in Environmental Design at the University of Colorado Boulder. Paul has also held positions as the Mortenson Professor of Sustainable Development at the University of Colorado at Boulder from 2012 to 2016, and as an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado Boulder from 2002 to 2010. Before transitioning into academia, they worked as an Associate Professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 1991 to 2002 and as a Systems Analyst at Stone & Webster Engineering from 1991 to 1994.

Paul Chinowsky earned a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree in Architecture from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo in 1987. Paul went on to obtain a PhD in Civil Engineering from Stanford University, specializing in the field of Civil Engineering, completing their degree in 1991.
