Hisham Zarour is a seasoned hydrogeologist with extensive experience in groundwater science, spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Hydrogeologist and Team Leader for Geosciences at Stantec since September 2019, Hisham has held multiple senior roles, including Principal Hydrogeologist and Contract Hydrogeologist at the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment. Previous positions include Proprietor & Consulting Hydrogeologist at gH2O Groundwater and Environmental Consultants, Team Leader for Groundwater Science at Environment Canterbury, and Senior Hydrogeologist at Schlumberger. Hisham's early career includes significant roles with the United Nations Development Programme as a Senior Hydrogeologist and Acting Director at the Palestinian Water Authority. Hisham holds a PhD in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences from Massey University, an MSc in Hydrogeology from the University of Birmingham, and a BSc in Applied Geology (Hydrogeology) from King AbdulAziz University.
