Jose F. Martinez III

Jose F. Martinez III holds extensive experience in civil engineering and project management, currently serving as the Community Development Manager and Senior Civil Engineer at Stantec since October 2023. Previously, Martinez held key leadership roles at Moffatt & Nichol as Department Manager and Senior Civil Engineer, and at the Town of Apex as Public Works & Transportation Director, overseeing significant budgets and multiple divisions. Martinez also served as Public Works Director for the City of Goldsboro, and held positions as Strategic Planner and Civil Engineer at SAIC and as President and Founder of M-III Engineering, PLLC. Early career experience includes serving as a Detachment Commander in the U.S. Army and Army National Guard. Educational credentials include a PhD in Industrial Engineering from Texas Tech University, multiple master's degrees in Biological and Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University, and dual bachelor's degrees in Construction Engineering & Management and Environmental Engineering from the same institution.
