Maritza Jurado

Maritza Jurado is an experienced water resources specialist currently working at Stantec since January 2018, focusing on water management projects for the mining and agricultural sectors, and conducting qualitative and quantitative risk evaluations. Prior to this role, Maritza served as a hydrologist at MWH, where Maritza developed conceptual and numerical hydrological studies for mining and environmental assessment projects. Maritza began their career at Ground Water International S.A. as a field hydrogeologist, overseeing diamond drilling and hydrogeological characterization, and previously held a position as a chemical engineer intern involved in environmental studies related to historical mining impacts. Early professional experience includes an internship at the Ministry of Energy and Mines, assessing technical competencies for GLP permits. Maritza holds a degree in Water Resources and Hydrology from Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina and a degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Nacional del Centro del Perú, among other specialized training in water management and hydrology.
