Gp Capt Ravi Abraham

Gp Capt Ravi Abraham has extensive work experience in the aviation industry. Gp Capt Ravi began their career in 1996 with the Indian Air Force (IAF) as a Group Captain, where they served as a transport pilot and QFI. During their time in the IAF, they accumulated over 9000 hours of flying experience. In 2020, they joined STAR AIR as an Airline Captain and later took on the role of Director Training (Flight Operations) & Examiner. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated strong leadership and expertise in flight operations and management.

Gp Capt Ravi Abraham has a diverse education history. In 1979, they completed their Matriculation from Hutchings High School. Gp Capt Ravi then went on to pursue their Higher Secondary Certificate (XIIth) from Modern Education Society's Nowrosjee Wadia College Arts, Science, Pune 01 from 1989 to 1991. In 1991, they also completed the first year of their BCS (Bachelor of Computer Science) from the same college.

In 1992, Gp Capt Ravi Abraham joined the National Defence Academy, where they obtained a BA degree in Military and Strategic Leadership from 1992 to 1995. Following that, in 1996, they received a Commission by the President of India after completing Ab-initio Pilot Training (Piston & Jet) from the Air Force Academy.

In 1997, Gp Capt Ravi Abraham further enhanced their skills by completing a Transport Conversion Course at the Fixed Wing Training Faculty. Gp Capt Ravi continued their education in the air force and completed the Junior Commanders Course at the Air Force Administrative College in 2003, focusing on Junior Managerial Skills, Administration, HR, Policies, and more.

In 2004, Gp Capt Ravi Abraham attended the Flight Instructors School, where they obtained a QFI (Qualified Flying Instructor) certification, specializing in Cockpit Management and Instructional Flying for Trainee Pilots. Gp Capt Ravi further enhanced their professional knowledge in 2007 at the College of Air Warfare, where they completed the Air Force Professional Studies program (APKC).

In 2011, Gp Capt Ravi Abraham attended the College of Military Engineering and obtained a CCD (Combat, Construction, and Development) degree in Military Low-Observables and Stealth Technology.

Their interest in business and management led him to pursue various programs. Gp Capt Ravi completed a Certificate program in Business Management from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad in 2020. Gp Capt Ravi also acquired a Certification in LSSBB® (Exemplar Global) in Business Processes and Statistical Solutions from Varsigma in the same year.

Gp Capt Ravi Abraham has shown a strong inclination towards business analytics. In 2019, they pursued a PGDM (Executive) degree in Business Analytics from the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad. Gp Capt Ravi later completed another PGDM (Business Analytics) degree from the same institution in 2020.

Additionally, they have obtained several certifications related to aviation. These include an Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL), Foreign Radio Telephony Operator License (FRTOL), English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 6, and Radio Telephony Restricted (RTR) certification.
