Rogier Hopstaken

Rogier Hopstaken is a General Practitioner currently working at Huisartsenpraktijk Hapert en Hoogeloon since April 2021 and also serves as a general practitioner and innovation specialist at star-shl since September 2018. Hopstaken holds a leadership role as the Chair of WONCA's Special Interest Group on Point-of-Care Testing and has been a coordinator and first author of the Dutch guideline on point-of-care testing in general practice since January 2010. Previous positions include supervisory board member at PoZoB and a member of the management team at Saltro, focusing on innovations in primary care. Academic credentials include a PhD from Maastricht University, and an extensive background in medical research, specifically related to lower respiratory tract infections and point-of-care testing methodologies.
