Abby Simons

Abby Simons has extensive experience in journalism, currently serving as the Public Safety Team Leader at Star Tribune since February 2008, where oversight includes a team covering police, courts, and prisons. Prior to this role, Abby worked as a reporter at Star Tribune, focusing on night police, suburban police, Hennepin County District Court, as well as politics and government. Abby's earlier experience includes a reporter position at Des Moines Register Media from May 2005 to January 2008, covering night police, Polk County District Court, and the Iowa Caucuses. Abby holds a degree from Northwest Missouri State University, completed between 2001 and 2004.
